Ruth McCarroll Ballard opened her eyes to see Jesus on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 in the comfort of her own home. Beloved wife of the late Arden N. Ballard. Mother of Bob Ballard, Barbara Ballard and Henry "Hank" Ballard. Sister of Lucille Brad-way, and Maxine Gowen. Daughter of the late Henry and Mabel Walling McCarroll. Grandmother of Elizabeth, Jennifer and Arden N. Ballard II. Mother-in-law of Kayla Ballard and Marian Ballard. Ruth was a longtime resident of Harahan, LA and ran the Bonco Club at Colonial Country Club and Chateau Country Club. She was an active member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and the Colonial Garden Club. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, on Monday, September 26, 2011 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm, and Tuesday, September 27, 2011 from 9:00 am until the Funeral Service at 11:00 am. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
