Hedden - Mr. Fred Hedden, age 84, of Hiawassee, Ga., died Thursday evening. He is survived by his wife, Mrs Pearl Dyer Hedden; 2 daughters, Mrs. Glenda Steinmeyer of Barnwell, S.C.; Mrs. Margie Ballard, Marietta, Ga.; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren also survived. Funeral services will be held at the McConnell Memorial Baptist Church Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The remains will lie in state for 1 hour. Rev. Jack Richardson officiating. Interment in the Osborn Cemetery. Frank Abernathy Funeral Home, Hiawassee, in charge of funeral arrangements.
