US Congressman. A member of the Democratic Party, he served North Dakota's 2nd District in the US House of Representatives from 1965 until 1967. Raised in Montana and later Minnesota, he attended the University of Washington and following graduation became the proprietor of a farm. Redlin initiated his political career as a member of North Dakota's State Senate (1959 to 1963 and 1973 to 2000). During his tenure as a senator, he was a proponent for once-a-year sessions.
