"Mrs. [Mary Shatswell] Benson can tell many anecdotes of the early settlement of this region, and boasts that her homestead was the scene of the first wedding in Greeley county, in 1874, the contracting parties being Aaron Bradt and Clara Harlow."
NOTE: Mary Shatswell Benson was the 2nd wife of JJ Blodgett, who married Clara Harlow Bradt after Mary died.
