Gerald Standard
Gerald A. "Jerry" Standard, 51, of 1436 East Spruce, Canton, died at 12 p.m. Friday (Feb. 9, 1996) at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Born March 11, 1944, at Canton, the son of Harold and Leona (Estwanik) Standard, he married Judith DeLost on May, 16, 1964, at Canton. She survives.
Other survivors include his mother, Leona Standard of Canton; one son, Jeffery A. Standard of rural Farmington; one daughter, Jill A. Doak of Rock Island; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and one brother.
He was owner/operator of Standard Photography in Canton for 18 years. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Canton, Knights of Columbus St. George Council 3934, Elks Lodge 626 and St. Mary's Parish Council. He was a member of the Association of Professional Photographers of Illinois, Northern Illinois Professional Photographers and Professional Photographers of America. He was a member of the Smithfield Gun Club, where he served as an officer.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Canton, the Rev. Arthur D. Meyer officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton; with Rosary at 5:45 p.m. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Canton.
Memorials may be made to American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
