Graydon Bates
Graydon Bates, 82, of Patten died November 20 at a Houlton Hospital.
He was born October 17, 1892 at Moro, the son of George and Annie Mitchell Bates.
He was married to the late Beulah Arbour Mitchell. Survivors include six sons, Merle and Hollis both of Lewiston, Maurice of Norwich, Conn., George of Patten, Ira of Winterport, Wendell of Winterhaven, Fla., one daughter, Mrs. Donna Kilgore of Meriden, Conn., 18 grandchildren; one brother, James Bates of Patten; one sister, Mrs. Ada Bates of Smyrna Mills.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday from the Bowers Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Kerrigan officiating.
Spring burial will be in the Batesville Cemetery in Moro.
