Born in Seymour, August 24, 1945 to Gerald (Gebe) and Clarice (Otto) Bottorff both of whom preceded him in death, Steve was one of four brothers and lived his complete life in Seymour.
Steve retired from Jackson County Bank in 2007. Shortly after graduating from high school, he started as a bank teller. During his forty-two years at Jackson County Bank, he worked in many departments, ending as Assistant Vice President of Consumer Loans.
An avid golfer, he was a member of the Elks Club for over 35 yrs and won many of the yearly local golf tournaments. Steve was a die-hard IU basketball fan, loved attending little league baseball and Cincinnati Reds games and followed Dale Earnhardt, Jr. through many NASCAR races. Other memberships included American Legion, Knights of Columbus, Fraternal Order of Eagles, and the Veteran's of Foreign War Men's Auxillary
Steve is survived by his wife and children.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents and older brother Robert G. Bottorff.
Burial took place at Riverview Cemetery, Seymour, with a Voss Dove release.
