Dave Merritt Stevens, age 62, a lifelong resident of Boerne, passed away at his home on Tuesday, April 12, 2011. Born in Boerne, TX on September 11, 1948, he was the son of Leroy Merritt Stevens and Mildred Newman Stevens. Preceded in death by his father, 3 uncles and one aunt, Dave is survived by his mother, Mildred Stevens; son, Davey Stevens (Rebecca); grandchildren, Alec Michael Stevens, Aaron Kane Stevens, Savana C. Hale, Colton F. Warren, and Clayton F. Warren; sisters, Millie Horton (Lonnie), Sharon Edge (Richard), and Rose Routh (James); numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. “Such a kind and generous soul, he will be greatly missed by all.” The Visitation will begin at Noon on Saturday, April 16 at Vaughan’s Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm. at Vaughan’s Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Newman Cemetery.
