Phyllis Knudson, 94, of Battle Lake died Wednesday, June, 15, 2011, at the Battle Lake Good Samaritan Center.
Phyllis Valentine Knudson was born on Feb. 14, 1917, in Fergus Falls, the daughter of John and E1na (Dalluge) Sorenson.
On Jan. 9, 1935, she married Kilredge Knudson in Emmetsburg, Iowa.
They then lived in the Fergus Falls and the Battle Lake areas. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Battle Lake.
Phyllis worked for various households cleaning, cooking and babysitting, and picked eggs at Shig Nakagaki Chicken Farm.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and
especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by two children, Donna Dalluge and Gordon (Ardelle) Knudson; five grandchildren, Lorie (Harris) Grewe, Greg Dalluge, Wayne (Terry) Dalluge, Dan Knudson and Russ (Jen) Knudson; grand-son-in-law, Larrs Grewe; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; one sister, Betty Highdale; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Kilredge; a son-in-law, Clarence "Pete" Dalluge; a granddaughter, Linda Grewe; two brothers, Walton and LaVern; and four sisters, Shirley, DeLoris, Ivadell and KayDonna.
