Viola D. Bashnick, 95, formerly of Warren Ave., Williamsport, died Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011, at Valley View Nursing Center.
She was born in Drifting, Pa., on May 23, 1916. She was the daughter of Harry and Cora Moyer Ardry. She was a homemaker and also worked at the former U.S. Ribbon Mill here in Williamsport.
Viola is survived by a son, Harry Bashnick of Bloomsburg; three daughters, Lois Cybulski and Mary Bashnick, both of Williamsport, and Jean Simcox of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
Viola was preceded in death by her husband Edward S. Bashnick in June of 2002. She was also preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St Ann's Roman Catholic Church, 1220 Northway Road, Williamsport
Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery.
