The Kinsley Graphic, December 12, 1884:

Married.

At the residence of the brides parents in Johnson county, on Tuesday night, November 15, 1884, by the Rev. Wm. Henderson, Millard Parkhurst of Edwards county Kansas, to Miss Lucy A. Farnsworth, daughter of Lot Farnsworth, Esq.

This wedding occasion was of a very pleasant character. A most bountiful supper was provided by the brides family, after which more than two hours were spent in a musical and social way. This young and very worthy couple have the best wishes of all their friends in the life upon which they have now entered.--HOLDEN (Johnson county) ENTERPRISE.

This is our Mr. Parkhurst. His house is at Mullinville, and he has spent the winter teaching in Mr. Taylor's neighborhood. He is a modest, temperate, educated gentleman, just such as we welcome to our midst. And now he has gone and committed matrimony. That he and his fair bride may realize their fondest hopes, and have their full share of the sunshine of this life, is the sincere wish of the GRAPHIC.
