Fred H. Conner was born in Willow Grove in 1927. He married Chloe Leona Sells from Livingston, Tennessee and moved to Akron, Ohio gaining employment in the then thriving tire industry. He passed away from complications of Bone Cancer. He was an avid bowler, and loved bluegrass music. He played the Banjo, Guitar, Mandolin, and Harmonica. He was also a pretty good singer and was always playing bluegrass gigs.

He is survived by his wife Chloe (Sells) Conner. Daughter's: Mary Francis, Sandra, Anita, and Carol Anne that passed in 1952. Son's: Jerry, James, Steve, Fred Jr.
He also left 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
