W.T. Brown, 76, widely-known resident of Alabama City, passed away at 5:20 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the home of his son, Floyd Brown, Boaz Route 3, after an illness of two weeks.

Mr. Brown was born in Morgan County but had lived in Alabama City for the past 45 years. He had been employed at Dwight Manufacturing Company prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Dwight Baptist Church.

The body will be taken to the home of Mrs. R.C. Wood, at 99 Wall Street, this afternoon where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday. Interment will be at Clayton cemetery with Collier-Butler Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Brown is survived by four daughters, Mrs. J.A. Wynn, Mrs. R.C. Wood, Mrs. D.C. Jenkins and Mrs. Judson Moon; three sons, Floyd Brown and J.R. Brown, all of Alabama City and Tommie Brown, St. Petersburg, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Ora Johnson, Decatur and Mrs. John Boon, Arkansas; a brother, Martin Brown, Birmingham, 37 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
