Funeral services for George Seyller, 69 years old, for many years a well known farmer at Hampshire, were conducted from the home, 515 Laurel street, Elgin and from the Catholic churh at Hampshire.

He had been a patient at the Elgin hospital since May 16. A jury under Coroner H. J. Vierke reached a verdict of death due to "shock and internal injury received in a fall from the second story of the St. Joseph's hospital, the act committed while despondent over ill health."

Mr. Seyller was born in Alsace-Lorraine April 23, 1861. He came to the United States when a young man, and had lived in Hampshire most of his life. He was a retired farmer. Surviving him are four sons, Joseph, George and Clarence of Hampshire and Harry of Elgin; two daughters, Bertha and Alma of Elgin; two brothers, Louis and John of Burlington, and a sister Mrs. Helena Vogel of Stark Station.
