GRUBBS, Fred J., age 78 of Winter Haven, FL, passed away at his residence of heart failure.
Mr. Grubbs was born June 24, 1933 in Auburndale, FL and was a resident of Lake Hamilton, FL and attended Haines City High School before joining the armed forces. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Winter Haven.
He is survived by his wife, of 51 years, Patricia Bryant Grubbs, daughters, Crystal D. Grubbs of Winter Haven, Debra K (Wayne) Green of Lake Hamilton, and Melanie D. Ayers of Lakeland, FL; grandchildren, Heather C. and Aaron A. Ayers; adopted son, Raymond Grubbs; sister Grace M. (Bill) Schesser of Missouri and numerous beloved family members.
Visitation will be Saturday, 9/24/11 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City from 10 a.m. until services at 11 a.m.
