John Thomas "JT" Loveridge
May 29, 1922 - September 22, 2011

JT Loveridge passed away September 22, 2011 at the Hospice Care Center after an illness; he was 89. JT was born on May 29, 1922 in Moab, UT from the union of William Bryan and Emma (Sperry) Loveridge. He spent his childhood and graduated from high school in Moab.

He was an honorably discharged veteran serving overseas with the Army Air Corps.

He married Augusta "Gussie" Westcott in Aztec, NM on April 16, 1951, and she survives.

JT was a resident Rancher and Horseman in Fruita, CO for the past 43 years. He loved his horses and his family very much.

JT leaves behind his wife of 60 years, Gussie Loveridge, of Fruita, CO; a son, Timothy and daughter-in-law, Deborah Loveridge, of Escondido, CA; a daughter, Emma Zoe Gatley, of Grand Junction, CO; two sisters, Joan Jackson and Gayle Tangren, both of Moab, UT; five grandchildren, Brian Thomas Gatley and Lindsey Ann Gatley, of Grand Junction, Nathan Todd Loveridge, of Escondido, CA, Kelly Lucas, of Bloomington, IN, and Katelyn Loveridge, of Escondido, CA; and three great-grandchildren, Jonathon Broderick Gatley-Metsker, Aleigh Michelle Lucas and Jackson William Gatley-Metsker.

A funeral service will be held at 9:00 a.m., Monday, September 26, 2011 at Martin Mortuary. Graveside services will take place at the Grand Valley Cemetery, in Moab, UT at 2:30 p.m., Monday.
