Marie Bowen Gaddy, 90, of Olney, died Monday, March 3, 2003, at Burgin Manor in Olney.
There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Crest Haven Memorial Park near Claremont with Reverend David A. McNabb officiating. Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Gaddy was born on February 22, 1913, in Richland County, the daughter of Arthur and Fannie (Myers) Wachtel. She married Russell Bowen on January 5, 1935. He preceded her in death on February 19, 1976. She later married Robert Gaddy in June of 1980. He also preceded her in death on May 6, 1998.
She was a homemaker and had worked at the shoe factory and Elks.
Mrs. Gaddy is survived by a daughter, Eleanor Hilderbrand, of Olney; a step-son, Rex Gaddy and his wife, Phyllis, of Livingston, Texas; two grandchildren, Betty Clow and her husband, Jeff, of Effingham, and Jacki Faris, of Glasgo, Ky.; a great-grandson, Jeremy; a step-granddaughter, Debra DeVries, of Columbus, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands and two sisters.
Memorials may be made to Olney Lions Club.
