Mildred Scott Payne Armes, age 83 of Falls of Rough, KY died Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital. She was born in Mook, KY on February 11, 1928, the daughter of the late Lorenzo and Anna Davis Payne. She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading and quilting. She was preceded in death by her husband Herschel, daughter - Jill Renee, grandson, 1 brother and 2 sisters. Mildred is survived by 9 children: Wanda Jackson (Danny) of Lewisport, KY., Karen Sue Schafer (Steve) and Timmy Armes of Falls of Rough, KY., Vicky Carter (Cliff) of Justin, TX., Tracy Allen (Clifford) of Harned, KY., Gary Armes (Bertha) of Hardinsburg, KY., Bobby Armes of Custer, KY., Dale Armes (Kathy) of Cloverport, KY. Joey Armes (Alicia) of McQuady, KY.; Twenty-two grandchildren and several great grandchildren; 1 brother-in-law: Lester Armes; 4 sisters-in-law: Bevia Armes, Rue Mattingly, Anna Helen Mercer and Nelda Payne. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, 9-21-2011 at 11AM at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home with Rev. Don Bruington officiating. Burial will be in the Kingswood Cemetery. Visitation on Tuesday, 4-8PM and after 8:30AM Wednesday.
