"Mary Eliza DeCamp (nee Brunson)
Age 85, Wednesday, March 26, 2003 at her home. Mary was born May 16, 1917 in Cedar Rapids, IA. She was the daughter of Dr. Edward T. and Florence May (Gifford) Brunson. She married Kenneth J. DeCamp on October 24, 1936 in Guthrie Center, IA. This union produced three loving sons. During her life, she resided in Cedar Rapids, Redfield and DesMoines, IA; Mokena and Joliet, IL and Belleville, KS. Preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Kenneth J. DeCamp. Her parents and youngest sister, Faye Winter. Surviving are three sons, Darwin K. (Dolores) DeCamp, Kenneth L. (Charlene) DeCamp and Donald L. DeCamp all of Joliet. Her grandchildren, Julie Cooper, Darwin G. DeCamp, Paul K. (Chrissie) DeCamp, Amanda DeCamp and Laura DeCamp. She was proud of her great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her loving and faithful sister, Opal (Howard) Potter; brother, Tom (Eileen) Brunson; brother in law, Temple (Esther) DeCamp and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mary Eliza DeCamp will be Saturday, March 29, 2003, 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation Friday 6-8 p.m. at: FRED C. DAMES FUNERAL HOME 3200 Black Rd. at Essington Rd."
