Forest Hill - Funeral services for Ira Otis Butter were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Elwood Baptist Church at Forest hill with Rev. Ray Tarver officiating. Burial was in the Butter Cemetery with the Ardoin Funeral Home of Oakdale officiating.
Mr.Butter died at 7:15 a.m. Tuesday at his home following a long illness.
He is survived by his wife of Forest Hill; two sons, Ira, Jr. of Houston, TX, and Troy of Forest Hill; three daughters, Mrs. Esther Muse and Mrs. Tiny McMahon, both of Houston, and Mrs. Letha Carter of Forest Hill; two brothers, L.H. and Roy Butter both of Forest Hill; and one sister, Mrs. Mae Kennedy of Lake Charles.
