Robert Huston, age 8 years, son of George Huston, of Brown's Station, fell from a log raft and was drowned in the Monongahela river. The boy had preceded his father, arriving at the river 20 minutes earlier, and by the time the father reached the scene, only the boy's cap was found. A search was begun and the body was recovered in half an hour.
