GULFPORT --- Jason H. Floyd Sr., 90, of Gulfport, died Saturday, June 5, 1999 in Long Beach.
Mr. Floyd was born in Como, Miss. and had been a resident of Gulfport since 1947. He was a retired attorney and a member of the American Bar Association and the Harrison County Bar Association. Mr. Floyd served in the Mississippi Legislature following World War II, where he served in the Army- Air Corp Guam as a legal officer. He was a member of the Great Southern Country Club and the Gulfport Yacht Club. Mr. Floyd was a member of the American Bridge League and a past President of the Gulf Cost Bridge Association, a life member since 1952 and had approximately 4,000 Master points.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Floyd of Gulfport; a daughter, Judith Marie Floyd Apelt of Norfolk, Va.; a son, Jason H. Floyd Jr. of Pass Christian; a stepson, Thomas Patrick Rogers of Barataria, La.; four grandchildren, Callie Floyd Brown of Louisville, Ky., Pam Floyd Mohammedi of Starkville, William Jason Floyd of Memphis, Tenn., Brian Kheradmand of Los Angeles; and three great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 19, at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
