She was born on Wednesday, January 7, 1931 in Florida, Daughter of the late Akins Irving Collins and the late Mary Douglas Goodgame Collins.

She was a School Teacher.

Surviving are her Husband, William Popwell "Bill" Burnett of Clanton, AL; Daughter, Mary Burnett (Jimmy) Burt of Millbrook, AL; 2 Sons, William Francis Burnett of Clanton, AL, Julius Collins Burnett of Clanton, AL; Brother-in-Law, John Paul DeCarlo of Birmingham, AL; Sister-in-Law, Elizabeth "Betty" Jones Collins of Jemison, AL; 2 Grandchildren, 2 Great-Grandchildren, A Host of Cousins, Nieces & Nephews.

Friends will be received from 5-8, Wednesday, April 27, 2011 @ Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Thursday, April 28, 2011, at 2:00 P.M. at Martin Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Matt DeBord officiating.

The family request no flowers, or food.
