Edna J. Drydale, 92, of Dallas died Sept. 19 in Dallas. She was born in Colorado to Klea and Joseph Stone, as the 7th of 15 children. In Colorado she met her husband, Virgil Drydale, and they were married August 23, 1940 in New Mexico. Their 66-year marriage was blessed with three daughters Matie, Patty Ann & Jody. Virgil and Edna moved to Oregon in the 1940s and had a number of jobs including working on Walker Farms in Independence and Walkdale Farms in West Salem. They eventually retired to their home on Lewis Street.

Some of Edna's greatest loves included her Boston Terriers, baking and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil, on March 26, 2007; and daughters Patty Ann and Jody.

Survivors include her daughter, Matie Barnes of Dallas; grandchildren Robb Barnes (Renay) of Dallas, Patty Zuniga (Jim) of Salem, Randy Barnes (Shelly) of Pasco, WA, Doni Jo Howe (Monte) of Dallas, Jo Gore of Dallas, Rob Chitwood of Independence and Matie Dougherty (Vaughn) of Albany; 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.

Private services were held in the Dallas Cemetery. The Bollman Funeral Home is caring for all of the arrangements.
