He was born Feb. 6, 1909, in Castle Rock, the son of Castle Rock pioneers Vivian and Alta Johnson. He worked as a logger most of his life.
Favorite pastimes were hunting and reading.
Mr. Johnson is survived by a brother, V. Ellsworth Johnson of Castle Rock; a sister, Georgia Williamson of Castle Rock; a close friend, Betty Brittner of Longview; two nephews; a niece; and several grand and great-grandnieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. friday at Whittle-Hubbard Cemetery, Castle Rock.
