Doris Dickinson Gill 89 of Griffin Ga. passed away on Thursday September 22, 2011 at Westbury Medicl Care Home in Jackson Ga. Mrs Gill was born April 18, 1922 to the late Frank Dickinson and the late Emma May Nipper Dickinson in La Grange, Ga.

Having moved to Williamson, Ga. at an early age after graduating High School, she left Ga. to enter Nurses Training. She was a medical Surgical Nurse at Highland Baptist Hospital, which became Birmingham Baptist Hospital.

Following the death of her husband and her retirement she returned to Ga.

She was a member of the Griffin First United Methodist Church, First Friends, and Young at heart.

Mrs Gill was preceded in death by her husband Linwood Malone Gill, her identical twin sister, Dorothy Dickinson Powell, sister Louise Dickinson Veazy, She is survived by her sister in law, four nephews, one niece and their families.

Funeral services conducted on Sept. 25, in the Chapel of Conner- Westburg Funeral Home in Griffin. with REV. Keith Wesley officiating, Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Griffin.
