Holly Edward Bennett, 82, of Ravenswood, died Saturday evening at his home after a long illness. He was born at Silverton, the son of the late William and Oda Anderson Bennett and was a retired deckhand on the Ravenswood ferry. He was a Protestant and a veteran of World War I. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Golda Lawson Bennett; one daughter, Mrs. Freda Marie Cunningham of Cincinnati, O.; one son, Roy L. Bennett of Cottageville; two sisters, Mrs. Merle Horner of Bridgeport, O.; Mrs. Blanche Conners of Parkersburg; one brother, Frank Bennett of Pakipiskey, N.Y.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. One son, one sister and one brother preceded him in death. Services were held Tuesday at the Straight-Tucker Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ken Derrington officiating with burial in the Ravenswood Cemetery.
