She was a native of Crisfield, Md., and the daughter of the late Bertha Rena Ransone Mason and James Henry Mason. Mrs. French was the widow of Stanley Nelson French Sr. and was a former member of Ghent United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Stanley Nelson French Jr. of Pleasanton, Calif., and James Charles French of Raleigh, N.C.; a sister, Janet B. Storey of Princeton, N.J.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. H. Leroy Seibert. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ghent United Methodist Church, Norfolk, or to St. Timothy United Methodist Church, 5365 Memorial Drive, Stone Mountain, Ga. 30083. Cox Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
