FORT WORTH - Winnette Anderson Jordan, 93, a bookkeeper with Southwest Paper Company, died Saturday, April 17, 1999, at a local care center.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fleming Chapel, Broadway Baptist Church. Visitation: She will lie in state after 2 p.m. Monday.
Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park.

Winnette Anderson Jordan was born Oct. 21, 1905, in Venus, the daughter of John and Lillian Anderson. She and James Otis Jordan were married June 19, 1927, in Fort Worth where she had resided ever since.
She was an avid golfer in the 1930's and played on the Fort Worth team. She was an active member of Broadway Baptist Church for over 50 years where she served on many committees and was a member of the Felicia Sunday School class. She was a charter member and past president of the NorthHi-MountGarden Club. She served as president of the Fort Worth Garden Club and was a lifetime member of the Fort Worth and Texas Garden Clubs. She also served as president of the Fort Worth National Judges Council. She was an outstanding flower arranger and through the years instructed many workshops on flower arranging. She was a senior judge of flower shows for the National Council of State Garden Clubs. She was also a member of The Woman's Club of Fort Worth.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Otis Jordan; and her son, J.O. Jordan Jr. Survivors: Granddaughter, Amber Finck of Grand Prairie; sister, Janie Witcher of Fort Worth; daughter-in-law, Linda Jordan of Waco; nieces and nephews; "special" daughter, Pat Sursey of Fort Worth; and a large number of dear friends.
