Conflicting information regarding year of death. Tombstone and the burial card state 1877.
His obituary and the burial book give year of death as 1878. Obit says he died on Friday Oct. 12; Oct. 12 was on a Friday in 1877. Suspect 1877 is correct.

Studied at Wabash College. Served in Civil War. Did not marry.
