Robert Frederick Mitschke Sr., 80, of Aberdeen died Friday (Sept. 19, 2003) at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Mr. Mitschke was born in Washington, D.C. to the late William Theodore and Fredricka Bacari Mitschke. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and of the Biscoe Lodge No. 454, AFAM. He served as a Scoutmaster and an American Red Cross First Aid instructor.
Surviving are his sons, Karl Mitschke of Aberdeen and Robert F. Mitschke Jr. of Richfield; his daughter, Phyllis Roberts; a brother, Julius Mitschke of Salisbury, Md.; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Paralyzed Veterans of America, 7 Mill Brook Rd., Wilton, NH 03086.
Boles Funeral Home & Crematory is handling arrangements for the family.
