They family moved to Loup City, Nebraska, where he spent his formative years. Eventually, the family moved back to Omaha, where he met and married Christine Harmon on January 10, 1948. Their marriage was blessed with six children. Living in Omaha, NE, Amarillo, TX, Cape Fair, MO and Lyons, NE, the two of them were inseparable.
Ted was a hard-working and fun-loving man. He enjoyed reading, music, and garage sales. He was proud of his military service in the Merchant Marines during WWII.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Christine; sister and one grandchild.
He is survived by his children, Ted III (Janice), Glenwood, IA, Virginia Hansen, Bellevue, NE, Roy Sr. (Stephanie) Ft. Smith, AR, Jeanna Helmstedter (John) Crane, MO, Judson (Stacy) Omaha, NE, Joseph and Troy both of Omaha, NE; brother, John Zephyrhills, FL; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
