Betsey was the white Nanny of the Thomas Jeptha Gibson family. She came with them from Georgia to Texas in Dec. 1870. There isn't a marker for her grave. Since she is not listed with the family in the 1880 census but was listed with them in the 1870 census and I know she stayed with the family until her death, I am assuming she died sometime between 1870 and 1880.
