He was the son of Paul John Schwendel I (1902-1969) and Alice Jones (1905-1992). Paul arrived in the United States from Germany on May 25, 1914.

Paul Schwendel, 55, offset printer. Jefferson Township, New Jersey. Paul J. Schwendel died Monday at the Denville campus of Northwest Covenant Medical Center. He was 55. Born in Weehawken, he lived in Jersey City, Lake Hiawatha and Landing before moving to the Lake Hopatcong section of Jefferson Township 20 years ago. Mr. Schwendel was an offset printer at Progress Graphics in Jersey City for 17 years before re-tiring this year. He was active with the Jefferson Township Baseball Program and was a member of the New Jersey Commercial Photo Engravers Union in New York. Survivors include his wife, Joan E.; a son, Paul of Atlanta; two daughters, Beth E. of Hamilton Square and Tracy E. Reid of New Hampshire; a brother, William of Florida; and four grandchildren. Arrangements are by Farmer Funeral Home, 45 Roseland Ave., Roseland.

Burial:
He was buried at Restland Memorial Park in East Hanover, Morris County, New Jersey, USA.
