James Aloysius McLaughlin (1892-1964) was a mosquito control officer. He served as a private in the United States Army during World War I. He never married. (b. April 10, 1892; 105 Danforth Avenue, Jersey City, Hudson County, New Jersey, USA - d. January 6, 1964; Paramus, Bergen County, New Jersey, USA) Military Service Number 2948383 and Social Security Number 150161066.

He was the son of Owen McLaughlin II (1863-1931); and Margaret Agnes Conboy (1866-1951).

He was listed as born on April 11, 1892 in his baptism record. Social Security used April 10, 1892.

He was baptized as "Jacobus McLaughlin" on April 17, 1892 at Saint Paul the Apostle Parish.

His siblings include: Catherine Agnes McLaughlin (1893-1989) aka Kitty McLaughlin, who married William Thomas Rankin I (1890-1970); and Margaret Mary McLaughlin (1897-1985) aka Marge McLaughlin, who married Christopher Aloysius Enright I (1888-1980).

World War I:
James registered for the draft on June 05, 1917 while working as a inspector for the Hudson County Mosquito Control office in the Bayonne district. He was living at 28 McAdoo Avenue with his family. He was inducted on May 25, 1918 to Company D in the 348th Infantry of the US Army at Camp Dix, New Jersey. He served till January 25, 1919 when he was honorably discharged from Fort Niagara, New York. He had green eyes and brown hair.

Jersey City, New Jersey:
He lived at 105 Danforth Avenue in Jersey City in 1892 when he was born and was living at 532 Ocean Avenue in Jersey City from 1893 till at least 1897. In the year 1900 he was living at 152 McAdoo Avenue in Jersey City and at 28 McAdoo Avenue in Jersey City from at least 1917 when he registered for the draft and 1942, when he filled out his Social Security application.

McLaughlin, formerly of 28 McAdoo Avenue; beloved son of the late Owen E. and Margaret McLaughlin (nee Conboy); loving brother of Mrs. Catherine A. Rankin, Mrs. Margaret M. Enright. ... Solemn mass of requiem at St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church at 11:45 a.m. Interment Holy Name Cemetery."
