Arimetha was born in the family home in Weaver Hollow within the current boundaries of the Shenandoah National Park. She was raised in the Elkton Pentecostal Church and later graduated from Shenandoah High School. She began her working career with Wrangler where she retired after 45 years of employment.
Surviving are her two sisters, Margie Clarice Shifflett and Wilmalee D. Lam and husband, Boyd; sister-in-law, Mary Lam, all of Elkton; one niece; two nephews; two great nieces and one great nephew.
A funeral service will be held 2:00pm Friday September 23, 2011 at the Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton with Pastor Nona F. Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery at McGaheysville.
Upon Mrs. Sellers request there will be no formal visitation and the casket will be closed.
