Mary Ellen (Coffey) Allman was the wife of Redmond Joseph Allman Sr. (The Old Man.) Together, they gave birth to thirteen children, six of whom passed away in early childhood. They were, Frank, Adeline, Joanna, Jennie, Charles & a Stillborn Baby Boy (Patrick Redmond.) The remaining children were, Mary Ellen (Mollie) Allman Donaldson, Emma Allman Whalen, Alice Allman Hanratty, Elizabeth Allman Flaherty, Josephine Allman, Redmond Joseph Allman, Jr. (PaPa Ollie) & George Allman.
