Evelyn J. Bradshaw, 80, died July 20, 2011 in Sentara Obici Hospital.

Born in Nansemond County, she was the daughter of the late Viola Virginia and James A. Jernigan. She is the widow of Robert Wesley Bradshaw.

Mrs. Bradshaw is survived by her children David A. Bradshaw and wife Pattie of Wytheville, VA, Shirley Brinkley Mizelle and husband James of Suffolk, VA, Cindy Wack and husband Edward of Virginia Beach, VA, Roger D. Bradshaw and wife Margie of Suffolk, VA and Nancy Wilby and husband Patrick of Suffolk,VA; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren; brothers James A. Jernigan, Jr. and DeWitt C. Jernigan of the Eastern Shore.

A graveside service will be conducted on Friday July 22, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Newman Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the R. W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home & Crematory on Thursday, July 21, 2011 from 7 to 8 PM.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 604 Constance Woods Drive, Suffolk, VA 23434. Condolences may be made at www.rwbakerfh.com.
