Moody R. Barkhouse, 84, Middle Cornwall, died May 11, 1995, in Fishermen's Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg. Born in Newburne, he was a son of the late Samuel and Ella (Hallamore) Barkhouse. He was a member of New Cornwall United Baptist Church. He was employed with Nova Scotia Power Corporation, Bruhm's Lumber Mill and was also involved in farming. Surviving are his wife, the former Lucy Barkhouse; daughters, Ruby (Mrs. Mervin Knickle), Middle Cornwall; Irene (Mrs. Ralph Spares), Brookside, Halifax County; sons, Brydon, Lower Cornwall; Ira, Middle Cornwall; brother, Stewart, Franklin, Mass.; nine grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Alverta; brothers, Harold, Ira, George Noble, Ervin, Enos, Donald. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Mahone Funeral Home, Mahone Bay. Funeral 3 p.m. Sunday in New Cornwall United Baptist Chuch, Rev. Andrew Crowell officiating. Burial in church cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations to New Cornwall United Baptist Church or Cornwall Volunteer Fire Department.
