He graduated from Manual Training High School in 1928 and in 1932 received a B.S. degree from Columbia University. Dr. Maryanov then attended University of Louisville Medical School, receiving his M.D. in 1936. During the following year he served an internship at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.

Dr. Maryanov was a 1st Lt. in the U.S. Army Medical Corps from July of 1937 to July of 1938. In December of 1941 he was recalled to active duty for 2 1/2 years and served overseas. During this time he was in Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Italy, France and Germany. In 1946 he was discharged as a Major.

In 1938 Dr. Maryanov moved to Salisbury and began a practice covering Salisbury, Mardela and the Vienna area. In 1940 he was married to the former Marjorie Webb and since 1946 had resided in Cambridge.

For almost 50 years he and his brother, the late Dr. Alfred Maryanov operated a practice together in Cambridge. During this time he was on the staff of Cambridge-Maryland Hospital, later Dorchester General Hospital.

Dr. Maryanov was a communicant of Christ P. E. Church, where he served for several years on the Vestry. He was also a member of the Dorchester County Historical Society, Dorchester Post 91, American Legion, Choptank Memorial Post 7460, VFW and Cambridge Elks Lodge 1272.

He served on the local advisory board of Maryland National Bank; was member and past president of the Cambridge Country Club; was member and Past Commodore of the Cambridge Yacht Club and former board member and president of the Cambridge-Dorchester Port Authority. He also served on the Zoning and Planning Commission for the City of Cambridge and was active in local Democratic politics.
