Funeral services for Mrs. Rema Verna Perry will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 in Good Hope Primitive Baptist Church, Forest Hill with Elders J. R. Haymon and Wayne Painter officiating. Interment will follow in Paul Cemetery, Forest Hill, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Mrs. Perry, 87, of Forest Hill, entered eternal rest on Sunday, August 28, 2011 in her residence.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth J. "Rub" Perry, her parents, Paul D. and Zella Matthews Lamkin and one brother, Lloyd Lamkin.
Rema was a longtime member of Good Hope Primitive Baptist Church.
Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include her three sons, Johnny L. Perry and his wife, Bayan, Lonel Perry, Darrell Perry and his wife, Diane, all of Forest Hill; two daughters, Kennie Mae Ballard and her husband, Raiford of Forest Hill, Deidra McSparrin and her husband, Buddy of Alexandria; fifteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
