Mrs. Lula Patton Dies Here at 74

Mrs. Lua Belle Patton (nee Jones), died at her home here at 223 e. albert street at 1:30 yesterday afternoon following a heart attack. She was 74 and had been a resident of Pampa for 26 year, moving here from Baylor County, Texas.
She is survived by her husband, W. H. Patton, and five daughters, Mrs. W. H. Black, Wheeler: Mrs. W. H. Stracener, LeFors; Mrs. J.R Akridge, Forgan, Okla; Mrs. J. P Matthews, Pampa, and Mrs. V.G. Ritter, Pampa. Four sons survive: Clyde Lee Patton of Goree, Texas; Elvie Patton, Mobeetie; Thomas “Bud” Patton of Pampa, Jack Patton, Skellytown; one sister, Mrs. Leola Sweet of Fr. Worth, and one brother, Walter Jones, Dallas: 55 grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Patton had been married 59 years. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held under the direction of Duenkel-Carmichael funeral home at 4 o’clock Monday. Rev E. M. Dunsworth will officiate at Calvary Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Clay Bullock. Clyde Prince, Bryon Sweanger, Henry Lane, Bill O’Neal and Lester Brewer.
