Lois Emma Wiley, 85, died Jan. 8, 2004, at Foothill-Oak Care Center located in Auburn, California. Lois was born Sept. 15, 1918, to Henry and Clara (Farr) Budd in Ravenna, Nebraska. She graduated from high school in Ravenna in 1934. She married Forrest Wiley in 1935 and shortly thereafter moved to Little Valley, located in Lassen County (Calif). She moved to Greenville in 1942 where she had resided for the past 62 years (prior to her death). She retired from the U.S. Postal Service as Greenville's Assistant Post Master, serving the community for 33 years. She was a longtime member of the Greenville Community United Methodist Church where she was an active member of the United Methodist Women's Club and served the church as a member of their board of directors. She also had been an active member of the former Greenville Rebekah Lodge where she had received her 50 year pin. She served the lodge as a Nobel Grand on more than one occasion, and was very active with Theta Rho, an outreach program of the Odd Fellows Lodge serving girls of high school age. She had also served the youth of the area as a 4-H leader. Lois enjoyed to knit, crochet, and sew clothing for her children.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Forrest, one brother and one sister.

Lois is survived by her 4 daughters; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
