Nona Mae Henderson Age 87 of Gary; formerly of Canton, MS. Nona made her transition Monday, September 12, 2011. Nona was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Henderson. Nona is survived by her children, Mary Battle, Mattie Walker, Robert E. (Bobbie Jean) Henderson, all of Gary; Debra (Tony) Matthews, of Elkton, MD; her grandchildren, Cynthia (James Sr.) Boykin, Monica, Dee, Nona and Tiffany Henderson, Ellen (Timothy) Minter, Roderick Parker, all of Gary; April (Adam) Frederick, Rita (Michael) Bowers, Xavier and Portia Lee, all of Elkton, MD; a host of other relatives and friends. Viewing Friday, September 16, 2011, 12 to 8pm at the Guy & Allen Chapel, 2959 W. 11th Avenue. Family hour Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 10:00 AM, with Home Going Service immediately following at 11:00 A.M, at Pilgrim M. B. Church, 1301 W. 21st Avenue. Rev. Charles L. Emery, Officiating. Interment Ridgelawn Cemetery.
