W.G. HUNT DIES OF HEART DISEASE

Attacked With Heart Trouble Noted Brick Maker Lives But Few Hours

W.G. Hunt, who has been a resident of this city for the past eight years and who during this time has been identified with the brick making industry, having been the head of one of the largest brick manufacturing plants in the county most of this time, died at his home near the Great Northern depot last Friday morning at about 9 o'clock, after an illness of only a few hours.
It was about 12 o'clock Friday night that the attention of members of the household were attracted to the condition of Mr. Hunt, who was found gasping for breath. Seeing that he was in a serious condition, a doctor was called immediately. Mr Hunt relapsed into unconsciousness remaining in this state until death. Heart trouble was the cause of the sudden death of the deceased.
The news of the death of Mr. Hunt came as a great shock to his many friends in this city and the many neighboring towns as the deceased was well known over the entire county and numbered his friends by the score.
The funeral will be held at the Methodist church tomorrow at 3 o'clock, Rev. Robert Warner, pastor of the Methodist church conducting the services. The funeral services were put off until tomorrow on account of the inability of a number of the relatives of the deceased to reach here sooner. Interment will take place in the Lakeview cemetery.
The deceased was 45 years of age and is survived by his wife and six boys. Fred Hunt, one of the boys and Mrs J.M. Timblin, a sister reside at Cheyenne, Wyo. Among other relatives who come here to attend the funeral are Mrs. M.E. Pease, of Boseman, Mont. and Madames M.J. Day and W.H. Clarke of Kalisell, Mont.

FIRE TAKES GREAT NORTHERN HOTEL, RELIC OF EARLY DAYS

The Great Northern Hotel, near the Great Northern station, a mile and a half west of town was completely destroyed by fire about 9 o'clock Sunday night. As the structure is far out of town and there are no facilities for fire fighting in the neighborhood, the flames rapidly spread. The fire originated in the kitchen of a restaurant which occupied a part of the lower floor. The Hotel was built in 1906 by V. M. Russell but was taken over by W. G. Hunt who was its proprietor for many years. Mr. Irion acquired the property some time ago and had negotiations underway for its sale to P. A. Nelson The building was empty for several years but last winter was partially occupied by a restaurant, which in April was taken over by Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Ross, who also furnished several of the building's 12 to 14 rooms.
