W. X. Hallbrook Rites
Held At Martins Mill

Funeral services were held at Martins Mill Baptist Church Wednesday afternoon for William Xerxes Hallbrook, 80 who died at his home there Tuesday after a stroke.
The services were conducted by the Rev. Melvin Frugia, pastor, and internment was in the Holly Springs Cemetery.
Hollbrook was born October 28, 1873, in Hopkins County and was married to Miss Katie Towns on June 21, 1903. He was a member of the Martins Mill Baptist Church.
Surviving are three sons, Romie Hallbrook of Martins Mill, A. J. Hallbrook of Kildare, and Ottie Kermit Hallbrook of Toledo, Ohio; six daughters, Mrs. Verda Johns of Dumas, Mrs. Ruth Lawler of Tyler, Mrs. Clara Barker of Odessa, Mrs. Norene Cox of Martins Mill, Mrs. Maurine Feagin of Clute City, and Mrs. Rosie Beth Reimer of McAlester, Oklahoma; one brother, J. M. Hallbrook of Edgewood, and twenty-eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
