Funeral service for Vera Frances Waller will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, July 26, 2018 in Westminster Presbyterian Church with The Rev. Mark Henslee, pastor officiating.

Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.

Vera Frances Waller, age 96, of Lawton, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2018 in Lawton. She was born August 14, 1921, in Snyder, OK, to Joseph Ora and Margaret Horton. She became a licensed Cosmetologist in August 1935 and graduated from Hobart High School May of 1939. In 1939 she met and married the love of her life, Sidney Waller. They made their home in Lawton and were blessed with four children.

Besides being a housewife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grand-mother, Frances had many interests. She loved to read, paint pictures, do needle point, put puzzles together, play bridge, eat lunch with her Wednesday girlfriends, and was a member of Quest Club. She loved to cook and entertain family and friends with a fish fry, in the mountains of Lake City, Colorado. She often said, “I love the beautiful blue skies of Colorado”! Frances and Sidney were two of the co- founders of their church, Westminster Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include three sons: Larry Waller and his wife Donna, Lake City Colorado, Kent Waller and his wife, Jane, Kim Waller and his wife Teresa, a daughter, Tiena Harrell and husband David, (Lawton), ten grandchildren: Amy Waller (Lawton), Brandon Waller and wife Ashlee (Oklahoma City), Logan Waller (Dallas, Texas), Hallie Waller (Dallas, Texas), Blake Waller and Jammie Waller (Marlow, Oklahoma), Vera Suarez and husband Michael (Dallas, Texas), Lindsay Owens and husband Mike (Norman, Oklahoma), Brent Harrell and wife Paige (Oklahoma City), Lavonne Waller (Dallas, Texas), and Sydney Harrell and Mitchell Stafford (Lawton), thirteen great grandchildren: Jace Waller, Kallie Waller (Marlow, Oklahoma), Jackson Watts (Dallas, Texas), Remington Epperson, Presley Epperson (Lawton), Austin Owens, Madden Owens, Campbell Owens (Norman, Oklahoma), Molly Stafford, MJ Stafford (Lawton), Rhine Suarez, Cora Suarez (Dallas, Texas), and Barrett Waller (Oklahoma City). three sisters: Lee Ora Simpson (Texas), Margaret Martin (Alaska), Patsy Srock (Wichita, Kansas).

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sidney Waller, two sisters; Priscilla Roof, and Nellie Rowland, and three brothers; DJ Horton, John Horton, and Joseph Junior Horton.
