Robert was born August 29, 1917 in Joliet, IL the son of Frank and Alice Pickle Welch. He married Marjorie Evans November 26, 1982 in East Moline. He served in the Army during WWII. Robert was the owner and operator of Peoples Shoe Rebuilders in Moline. He retired in 1979. He was a life member of the D.A.V. Chapter 9 and the Moline VFW #2150.
Robert is survived by his wife Marjorie and a nephew Dale Welch.
