Mrs. Glen Welch, 83, of Duluth, Minn., a former Sioux City resident, died Sunday at a Minneapolis hospital. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the United Protestant Church of Morgan Park at Duluth. Mrs. Welch, the former Amber Garlock, was born in 1892 in Smithland. She moved as a child to South Sioux City with her family and later to a farm near South Sioux City. She attended Moriningside College as a music student. After their marriage, she and Mr. Welch lived a few years on the farm at south Sioux City before moving to Duluth. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. William (Pearl) Wilson of Minneapolis; a son, Leslie of Cincinnati, Ohio; a sister, Mrs. Nellie Hitt of South Sioux City; a brother, Charles of Norwalk, Iowa five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
