US Congressman. Served in the United States Army during World War II. Elected to represent Michigan's 18th District in the United States House of Representatives, serving from 1973 to 1975, being defeated in 1974. Also served as the Mayor of Troy, Michigan, from 1959 to 1964, Member of the Michigan State Senate for the 16th District from 1965 to 1970, being defeated in the primary in 1962, and Candidate in primary for United States Senator from Michigan in 1970, 1976, 1982, and 1988. He also owned the Michigan Chrome and Chemical Inc.
